Range of 5W USB Wall AC-DC adapters for Emerson Network Power is a project that eliminates the need for its own power cord attachments and accessories.
Instead, one side of the AC adapter plugs into an outlet and the DC output is available through a standard USB socket on the opposite side.
The DCH5 serial adapters have a universal input 100-240 Vac, so they can be used worldwide, and generate a regulated 5V output capable of delivering up to 1A continuously.
The adapters operate in constant voltage / constant current mode and is designed to power any USB device valued at 5 watts or less requires an external power source.
There are four models with different DCH5 AC input connectors for use in the United States, Europe, UK and Australia. Each model weighs 2.3 ounces (66G).
They meet Tier 2 energy (ERP) requirements of the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC, which sets strict standards for efficiency and standby power consumption. The adapters have no minimum load and very low no load power consumption of less than 300 mW.
Emerson Network Power provides power DCH5 of the series have a security leak extremely low ground current up to 20μA. Complete protection against fault conditions includes the locking function of voltage, short circuit with automatic recovery and protection against overload within 1.5A.
